Our Story
Our story begins with our own experiences, memories filled with excitement and anticipation as we stepped into kindergarten. We remember the joy of new backpacks brimming with fresh supplies – pencils, coloring books, and that special teddy bear that made us feel at home even in a new environment. It’s this feeling of preparedness and care that we wish to pass on to every child.
Same Start is more than just a project for us; it's a mission to level the educational playing field. We understand that the journey into education is not just about having the right tools, but also about feeling supported and encouraged. Our initiative aims to deliver backpacks filled with essential school supplies and a lot of love to pre-school and kindergarten-aged children in suburban, rural, and remote areas, including indigenous communities.

About Same Start Project...
In 2021, Sarah and Yasmin decided to develop and implement the "Same Start Project". This project's objective is to give all kids the same start to kindergarten. It is an initiative to promote educational development for all children. Sarah and Yasmin want to provide backpacks filled with love and essential items such as pencil cases, pencils, colour pencils, rulers, activity books, rubber and a teddy bear.
We aim to provide these backpacks to preschool and kindergarten aged children in suburban, rural and remote areas, as well as in indigenous communities, NDIS Childcare Centres and at the Pyjama Angel Foundation.
Kids of all ages need new stationary with each school term, this cost can add up and become quite expensive. This is why we want to give all young kids an equal, fresh and well-prepared start to the year by providing them with a brand new backpack full of schooling essentials.
On behalf of Sarah and Yasmin, I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to all our sponsors' contributions to Same Start. Same Start received over 5,500 pieces of stationary which will have a positive impact on helping children who are starting kindergarten in 2024.
